Election Day has passed and I am honored and humbled by the responsibility you have bestowed upon me.  For those who voted for my opponent, I will do my best to earn your confidence.  Either way, hopefully you feel as I…this local election cycle has brought a renewed air of confidence in what can be accomplished in Suwannee County.

Economic development is my first priority!  We all have an investment in Suwannee County!  Our home…our businesses…our time…our money…our family and our faith, are all rooted in this community.  New jobs, better jobs, and secure and stable current jobs will allow us to be more confident in that investment.

Our high unemployment, high underemployment, low weekly wages compared to the state average, low housing values, high percentage of people receiving public  assistance, high poverty levels and a lack of year-round stable employment opportunities are unacceptable!

When we stay focused on these things gradually, our local economic system will improve.  Over time we will eventually become INELIGIBLE for state grants which is a good thing!  This will mean that we have self-sustained economic development.

I feel this local election has brought a new level of cooperation, confidence and a CAN DO ATTITUDE to Suwannee County government.  I look forward to the opportunity to work for you, and with you.  Together, we will make Suwannee County the place we want it to be today, tomorrow and well into the future!
